Job Description

We're on the lookout for a skilled Construction Manager to lead our projects in Port Elizabeth. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing construction activities from start to finish, ensuring that work is completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. You'll manage teams, coordinate with subcontractors, and liaise with clients to deliver successful outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction project planning and execution.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations.
  • Manage budgets and keep track of project expenses.
  • Document all construction processes and update project schedules regularly.
  • Train and mentor construction team members on safety practices.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct risk assessments and ensure risk management strategies are in place.
  • Communicate project milestones to stakeholders effectively.
  • Maintain quality assurance protocols during construction.
  • Foster teamwork and promote a positive site culture.

Requirements

Education
  • Master's degree in Construction Management or a related field is a plus
Experience
  • 7+ years of experience in large-scale construction projects
