Job Description

We are seeking a qualified Clinical Psychologist to join our compassionate team. You will play a pivotal role in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of various mental health conditions. Your expertise will help guide individuals towards improved mental wellness through evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Administer psychological tests and interpret results.
• Guide and support clients through grief and trauma.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
• Consult with supervisors and peers for case guidance.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Conduct community outreach programs on mental health.
• Train interns and junior therapists as needed.
• Contribute to research initiatives in mental health.

Requirements

Education

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology preferred
• HPCSA registration as a clinical psychologist required

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years in a clinical setting

• First Aid Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational

Advantageous

• Familiarity with EMDR therapy techniques: Experience in using Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing for trauma treatment.
• Knowledge of mindfulness and stress reduction techniques: Ability to teach mindfulness strategies and practices to clients.
