Job Description

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to join our talented team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of security protocols, risk management, and incident response, ensuring our systems remain secure against potential threats. You will play a critical role in identifying and mitigating risks through strategic security measures and ongoing monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential security threats and develop proactive measures.
• Implement firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption technologies.
• Conduct ongoing security training programs for all staff.
• Collaborate with law enforcement and external agencies during incidents.
• Review and update security measures regularly to adapt to new risks.
• Report on security incidents and recommend improvements.
• Ensure data protection compliance and monitor data breaches.
• Assist in installing and configuring antivirus software and other security tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or Information Systems
• Master's degree in a relevant field is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in information security roles
