We are on the lookout for a dedicated Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will play a critical role in safeguarding sensitive information, conducting security assessments, and implementing robust protection strategies against cyber threats. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential as you will actively monitor security systems and respond to incidents.

Responsibilities

• Assess and improve organization's information security policies.
• Assist in the design of secure networks and infrastructure.
• Participate in incident response and forensic investigations.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide security recommendations.
• Work with cross-functional teams to achieve security objectives.
• Lead cybersecurity training sessions for employees.
• Stay updated with certifications and best practices in cybersecurity.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or related field
• Relevant certifications preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles

• Vulnerability Assessment
• Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)

• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of risk management frameworks: Familiarity with NIST or COBIT frameworks.
• Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell: Ability to write scripts to automate security tasks.
