As an Architect at our Knysna firm, you will play a pivotal role in shaping functional, aesthetic spaces suited to client needs. You will be responsible for developing and presenting design concepts, overseeing the planning stages, and ensuring all designs comply with regulatory standards. Responsibilities

• Define and draft architectural guidelines for a variety of projects.
• Utilize CAD software to produce high-quality design drawings.
• Work with sustainability principles to create environmentally friendly designs.
• Manage multiple projects, ensuring resource allocation for efficiency.
• Collaborate with local authorities on regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior architects and interns in design principles and practices.
• Review and approve project plans and budgets.
• Prepare presentations for community engagement regarding project designs.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain client relationships.
• Assist in the preparation of land-use approval and building permit applications.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years in architecture, with a focus on residential and commercial projects

• Design Software Proficiency

Certifications

• Certified Architect (SAIA)

Languages

• English: Fluent
