Bicycle Mechanic

Job Description

We are on the lookout for an experienced Bicycle Mechanic to join our dedicated team at CycleWorks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and maintaining bicycles for our customers, as well as ensuring that our rental fleet is in excellent condition.

Responsibilities

• Conduct bicycle maintenance and repair services effectively and efficiently.
• Identify repair possibilities and recommend new part purchases when necessary.
• Maintain accurate service records for transparency.
• Provide assistance and advice to customers regarding bike maintenance.
• Assemble and prepare bicycles for sale and rental.
• Ensure the workshop remains clean and safe.

Requirements

Education

• Matric or equivalent
• Certification from a recognized bicycle mechanic program is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in bicycle repair and maintenance

Technical Skills

• Bicycle Assembly
• Knowledge of Repair Tools

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Teamwork

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Custom Bike Builds: Experience in custom bike assembly and fitting.
• Customer Interaction: Ability to engage with customers and provide exceptional service.
