Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Biomedical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be involved in designing, developing, and implementing medical devices and technologies that improve patient outcomes. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure our solutions meet clinical requirements and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Research and analyze market trends to develop innovative products.
• Create and maintain project schedules and budgets.
• Assist in the training and evaluation of new engineering staff.
• Engage in continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering department.
• Collaborate with marketing teams to educate stakeholders about new products.
• Lead cross-functional teams to bring new concepts to market.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in medical device development

Technical Skills

• Device Testing and Validation
• Manufacturing Processes

Soft Skills

• Project Management
• Critical Thinking

Certifications

• ISO 13485 Certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• isiXhosa: Basic

• Familiarity with Clinical Trials: Understanding the process and requirements of conducting clinical trials for devices.
