Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We seek a highly motivated Chemical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in process design and optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance chemical processes and will play a key role in bringing innovative solutions to fruition.

Responsibilities

• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Lead cross-functional project teams focused on product innovation.
• Test and validate new processes in pilot-scale setups.
• Provide technical expertise during troubleshooting of manufacturing issues.
• Participate in safety audits and compliance procedures.
• Document processes and prepare technical documentation for regulatory submissions.
• Plan and execute training for junior engineers and technical staff.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
• Master's degree is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in the chemical manufacturing industry
