Job Description

We seek a highly motivated Chemical Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The ideal candidate will have experience in process design and optimization. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and enhance chemical processes and will play a key role in bringing innovative solutions to fruition.

Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize chemical processes for product development.
  • Perform rigorous safety assessments for new processes.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to source necessary materials for experiments.
  • Engage in continuous improvement initiatives for production systems.
  • Prepare and present findings to stakeholders and management.
  • Conduct simulations to predict behavior of systems.
  • Develop standard operating procedures for production teams.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
  • Master's degree is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in the chemical manufacturing industry
