Chemical Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Chemical Engineer to join our team in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of chemical processes and be capable of designing and implementing systems for chemical manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop new chemical manufacturing processes.
• Perform scale-up activities from lab to production.
• Evaluate and select raw materials for production.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its accuracy.
• Prepare and maintain batch records and process documentation.
• Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 5 years of experience in chemical process engineering

Certifications

• Six Sigma Green Belt

Languages

• English: Fluent
