Job Description

As a Biotechnologist in our Durban office, you will play an essential role in our research and development efforts. You will work closely with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of biotechnological processes.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and implement new biotechnological methods.
• Provide technical support to other departments.
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals for funding.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure it is functioning correctly.
• Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in biotechnology.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences or related field
• Master's degree in Biotechnology is an advantage

Experience

• 3+ years of laboratory experience in biotechnology

Technical Skills

• Experimental Design
• Biotech Product Development

Soft Skills

• Communication
• Adaptability

Certifications

• Glp certification
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with bioreactors: Hands-on experience in using bioreactors for product development.
• Knowledge of bioinformatics tools: Ability to utilize bioinformatics for data analysis and interpretation.
