We are on the lookout for a skilled Business Intelligence Developer to join our Johannesburg team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and data visualisation tools, and will play a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights to drive strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Create interactive data visualizations and dashboards for reporting purposes.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify data needs.
• Develop scripts for automated data gathering and reporting.
• Analyze complex datasets to derive valuable insights.
• Assist in the design and implementation of data models.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of BI applications.
• Prepare detailed documentation for BI processes and tools.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analysis

Technical Skills

• SQL
• Tableau
• Microsoft Power BI

Soft Skills

• Analytical thinking
• Effective communication

Certifications

• Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis: Proficiency in using Python or R for data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud data platforms, such as AWS or Azure: Understanding of how to leverage cloud platforms for data storage and processing.
