Civil Engineer (Structural)

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Structural) to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in structural analysis and design, capable of leading diverse engineering projects while ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structural analysis and design of building projects, ensuring compliance with local codes.
• Collaborate with architects and other engineers to develop innovative design solutions.
• Prepare and review project specifications, reports, and design documentation.
• Manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within scope.
• Supervise site activities and provide technical support during construction.
• Conducting site inspections to verify compliance with design specifications.
• Assist in preparing contract documents and specifications for consulting engineers.
• Participate in public consultations and stakeholder meetings as required.
• Utilize software for 3D modeling, analysis, and design.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects.
