Civil Engineer (Structural)

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineer (Structural) to join our Durban team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in structural analysis and design, capable of leading diverse engineering projects while ensuring compliance with local regulations and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structural elements and systems for various projects.
• Liaise with clients to understand project goals and provide engineering solutions.
• Estimate costs and manage budgets of various projects.
• Ensure all specifications align with legal requirements and quality standards.
• Oversee junior engineers and interns, providing guidance and mentorship.
• Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and building codes.
• Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and subcontractors.
• Prepare technical documents for submissions and proposals.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering is preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering projects.

Languages
