Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Consultant to join our Pretoria team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting environmental assessments, preparing reports, and advising clients on environmental regulations and best practices. The ideal candidate will have a background in environmental science or engineering, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute environmental assessments for clients.
• Review and interpret environmental legislation and policy.
• Communicate effectively with clients regarding environmental issues.
• Develop strategies to minimize environmental impact and enhance sustainability.
• Provide expert advice on environmental management practices.
• Prepare documentation for environmental permitting processes.
• Ensure compliance with local and national environmental laws.
• Support clients in achieving sustainability certifications.
• Engage with communities on environmental initiatives.
• Work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or Engineering
• Postgraduate qualification preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of relevant experience in environmental consulting

Advantageous

• Familiarity with carbon footprint analysis: Experience in assessing and reporting on carbon emissions.
