Job Description

The Aircraft Communicator plays a critical role in ensuring effective communication and coordination between pilots, ground crews, and air traffic control. This ensures safe and efficient operations within the aviation sector.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear and concise communication to pilots, relaying important information such as weather conditions and runway availability.
  • Coordinate and prioritize incoming and outgoing aircraft movements to avoid conflicts and maintain safe spacing.
  • Monitor and update flight plans, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with other air traffic control units to manage airspace congestion and reroute aircraft if necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communication and aircraft movements.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, providing necessary instructions and guidance to pilots.
  • Stay updated with the latest aviation regulations and procedures.

Requirements

Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Relevant aviation qualifications preferred
Experience
  • Experience in air traffic control or a related field is highly desirable.
