Job Description

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our Johannesburg team and play a key role in streamlining production processes, enhancing efficiency, and driving innovation in our automotive manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
• Implement lean manufacturing principles and techniques to reduce waste.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Conduct time and motion studies to determine optimal work methods.
• Monitor production performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Design workflows and layout plans that optimize space and resources.
• Provide engineering support in troubleshooting production issues.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to the engineering processes.
• Train and mentor junior engineering staff on best practices in manufacturing.
• Participate in new product development and process improvement projects.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering within the automotive sector
