Industrial Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our Johannesburg team and play a key role in streamlining production processes, enhancing efficiency, and driving innovation in our automotive manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in process optimization, lean manufacturing, and quality control.

Responsibilities

• Lead efforts to analyze data and drive decisions for process improvements.
• Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure material compliance.
• Utilize software tools for data analysis and simulation of production processes.
• Management of safety and compliance standards in the manufacturing environment.
• Develop prototypes and conduct tests to validate new processes and products.
• Collaborate with R&D to translate product specifications into manufacturing requirements.
• Facilitate team brainstorming sessions to identify and resolve operational challenges.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee implementation of engineering projects from conception to production.
• Foster relationships with other departments to align engineering objectives with business goals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Master's degree is an asset

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in industrial engineering within the automotive sector
