Sewing Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated Sewing Machine Operators to help produce quality garments. This role requires attention to detail, a strong understanding of garment construction, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate various types of sewing machines.
• Ensure accurate stitching and assembly according to design specifications.
• Inspect finished products for quality and adherence to standards.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production.
• Help maintain a tidy working area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Work closely with designers to understand garment requirements.

Requirements

Education

• Grade 12 or equivalent preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in clothing production or tailoring

Technical Skills

• Fabric handling
• Quality control

Soft Skills

• Time management
• Problem-solving

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with embroidery machines: Ability to operate and maintain embroidery machines.
• Knowledge of fabric types and properties: Understanding different fabrics and how they behave when sewn.
