Pharmacist

Job Description

In the role of Pharmacist, you will be at the forefront of patient pharmacy services, ensuring safe medication use and promoting wellness. You will educate patients, assist in clinical decision-making, and guide our pharmacy team in delivering holistic care. Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and effective use of medications by educating patients.
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team rounds and discussions.
• Advise patients on overcoming medication adherence challenges.
• Evaluate and manage adverse drug reactions and interactions.
• Assist with local and national pharmacy projects and initiatives.
• Document and report prescription issues or discrepancies carefully.
• Facilitate seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers.
• Promote wellness through preventive health services like HPV immunizations.
• Review non-prescription products and recommend appropriate treatments.
• Lead quality improvement projects within the pharmacy department.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or related health sciences
• Advanced certifications in pharmaceutical care are preferred.

Experience

• 3+ years in clinical pharmacy or community pharmacy settings.
