Job Description

As a Procurement Officer in Johannesburg, you will play a crucial role in our supply chain management. You will be tasked with sourcing and negotiating with suppliers, preparing purchase orders, and managing supplier performance. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be essential in ensuring that our procurement processes align with the company’s goals.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement procurement plans.
• Manage supplier queries and issues effectively.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
• Conduct regular market analysis to assess supplier viability.
• Ensure timely delivery of purchased goods and services.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Prepare reports on procurement activities for management review.
• Assist in budget preparation and cost control.
• Collaborate with logistics to optimize delivery and supply chain logistics.
• Support sustainability initiatives by engaging with environmentally responsible suppliers.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement or Business Administration

Experience

• 5+ years of progressive experience in procurement roles
