We are seeking a skilled IT Support Specialist to join our growing team in Durban. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality technical support to our clients, addressing issues related to hardware, software, and networking. Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Identify and escalate priority issues to the IT Manager.
• Ensure user data security and integrity across all systems.
• Perform routine maintenance and backup of systems.
• Provide assistance with software migrations and upgrades.
• Create and update user guides and training materials.
• Research and recommend new IT solutions for enhanced effectiveness.
• Maintain effective communication with users to ensure satisfaction.
• Participate in IT projects and initiatives as required.

Requirements

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology preferred

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in IT support services

Technical Skills

• Active Directory
• MacOS

Certifications

• ITIL Foundation

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with VoIP systems: Knowledge of voice-over-IP technologies.
