SOC Analyst

Job Description

Join our Johannesburg office as a SOC Analyst, where you will monitor and analyze security events, respond to incidents, and collaborate with our IT team to fortify the overall security posture. Ideal candidates have a passion for cybersecurity and a proactive approach to threat mitigation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate security incidents and determine their impact on the organization.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and external stakeholders during investigations.
• Develop and maintain security documentation, policies, and procedures.
• Attend security workshops and training programs to enhance skills.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security frameworks and best practices.
• Lead security incident response drills to prepare the team.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security or Computer Science
• Master's degree in Cybersecurity is a plus

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a SOC environment

• Network Security

Certifications

• ISO/IEC 27001 lead implementer

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of vulnerability management tools: Experience with tools for vulnerability scanning and assessments.
