Job Description

The Mobile Heavy Equipment Mechanic will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of trucks and other heavy vehicles. The successful candidate will utilize their technical skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions, ensuring vehicle reliability and safety.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety issues.
• Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues.
• Communicate with supervisors regarding repair needs and inventory status.
• Assist in establishing and following up on maintenance schedules.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all tasks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for improvement and efficiency.
• Document repair processes and outcomes for record-keeping.

Requirements

Education

• Trade Certificate in Diesel Mechanics or equivalent qualification

Experience

• At least 2 years of relevant experience in truck maintenance and repair
