Hydrologist Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a Hydrologist Engineer to drive our water management initiatives in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will have proven experience in hydrology, data analysis, and project management aimed at optimizing water resources and minimizing environmental impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydrological studies and assess impacts on local ecosystems.
• Develop and optimize water management plans tailored to project needs.
• Work with engineers and environmental scientists on multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide technical expertise in water resource evaluations.
• Supervise junior engineers and field technicians.
• Liaise with government bodies and regulatory agencies.
• Analyze water usage data to inform strategic planning.
• Ensure accurate documentation of methodologies and findings.
• Engage in community outreach and education regarding water conservation.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Hydrology or Environmental Engineering
• Bachelor's degree in a related field

Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in hydrology
