Job Description

Join our Johannesburg team as a Registered Nurse where you will provide high-quality medical care. You will assess patient health, develop care plans, and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver effective nursing care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient health and provide nursing care as needed.
• Create and adapt care plans according to patient response.
• Administer medications, injections, and IV fluids as ordered.
• Monitor vital signs and manage patient care emotionally and psychologically.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families about their treatment plans.
• Work with healthcare team members to optimize patient care delivery.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Registered Nurse with current SANC registration

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a healthcare setting

Technical Skills

• Patient Care Management
• Infection Control

Certifications

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

• Prior experience in community health nursing: Familiarity with local healthcare resources and community outreach.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate in both English and Afrikaans is advantageous.
