Job Description

Join our team as an Environmental Consultant, where you will play a key role in shaping sustainable practices for our clients. Your expertise will help in assessing environmental impact, regulatory compliance, and strategic planning to ensure environmentally responsible outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Assess the environmental impact of proposed projects.
• Create policies and procedures to promote environmental sustainability.
• Support clients in managing their environmental responsibilities.
• Draft environmental impact statements and compliance documents.
• Conduct stakeholder engagement and public consultations.
• Utilize GIS and other tools for environmental data analysis.
• Monitor and report on the effectiveness of implemented environmental strategies.
• Work with regulatory agencies to achieve project approvals.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related fields
• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability Management is a plus

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in environmental consulting or similar roles

• Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)
• Regulatory Compliance

Soft Skills

• Leadership
• Negotiation

Certifications

• Green Building Professional Certification
• Sustainability Associate Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Zulu: Conversational

Advantageous

• Experience with renewable energy projects: Hands-on experience managing or consulting for renewable energy initiatives.
• Familiarity with water resource management: Experience in assessing and managing water use and conservation.
