Job Description

As a Cybersecurity Specialist, you will be at the forefront of our cybersecurity efforts in Cape Town. Your role will include assessing vulnerabilities, conducting risk assessments, and implementing robust security solutions. The ideal candidate is passionate about cybersecurity and has a proactive mindset to tackle emerging threats.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and implement security tools and technologies to enhance protection.
• Identify, analyze, and document security incidents and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Work with third-party vendors to ensure their compliance with our security policies.
• Conduct regular security audits and reviews to validate security measures.
• Stay informed on emerging threats and vulnerabilities in the cybersecurity landscape.
• Engage with law enforcement and regulatory bodies on relevant security issues.
• Assist in developing and managing security budgets.
• Promote a culture of security awareness within the organization.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related field
• Relevant certifications like CISSP or CEH preferred

Experience

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity

• CompTIA Security+
• Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
