We're looking for an experienced Insurance Underwriter to evaluate client insurance proposals, analyze risks, and make underwriting decisions. This pivotal role involves collaborating with agents and clients, ensuring they receive the right policy while protecting our company's interests and creating lasting relationships.

Responsibilities

• Review applications to determine acceptability of risk.
• Utilize underwriting software tools for risk assessment.
• Assist in developing underwriting guidelines and procedures.
• Provide training to junior underwriters on policy analysis.
• Assess various risk factors including health, property, and liability risks.
• Negotiate terms and pricing with brokers and agents.
• Engage in market research to identify emerging trends in risk.
• Provide support during audits related to underwriting practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Insurance-related certification is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 3-5 years of underwriting experience
