Job Description

As a Dance Historian at Cultural Dance Heritage, you'll conduct in-depth research on the history and evolution of various dance styles in South Africa. Your role will involve analyzing social and cultural influences, sharing insights with audiences, and contributing to educational programs.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and document the evolution of dance styles and techniques.
  • Engage in community outreach to promote the importance of dance history.
  • Create educational material for schools and cultural institutions.
  • Present findings at conferences and community forums.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Dance or related field
  • Master's degree in Cultural Studies or related field preferred
Experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in historical research related to dance
