Job Description

We invite you to be part of our veterinary team at Veterinary Care Specialists in East London. As a Veterinarian, you'll have the opportunity to work with a variety of pets, performing examinations, vaccinations, and surgeries. You'll be instrumental in educating pet owners and promoting healthy lifestyles for their animals.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct physical examinations and diagnose ailments in animals.
  • Perform surgeries and administer vaccinations.
  • Provide advice on pet care, nutrition, and health.
  • Maintain detailed medical records of patients.
  • Work closely with veterinary technicians to provide excellent care.
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care and treatment options.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to enhance skills.
  • Build a rapport with clients to ensure trust and satisfaction.
  • Assist in animal behaviour assessments and treatment plans.
  • Participate in community outreach programs promoting animal welfare.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science or related field
  • Registered with the South African Veterinary Council (SAVC)
Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in veterinary practice
