Steam Meter Reader

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Steam Meter Reader. The main responsibility of this role is to accurately read and record steam meter readings in various locations. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in ensuring accurate billing and efficient steam usage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of steam meters and document any issues.
• Engage with clients to explain the meter reading process and address queries.
• Collect data from various locations, ensuring all readings are up to date.
• Report any discrepancies in readings to management promptly.
• Assist in training new meter readers on safety protocols and standards.
• Utilize handheld devices effectively for meter readings and reporting.
• Support efforts to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Participate in regular safety meetings and training sessions.
• Complete weekly reports on meter readings and incidents.

Requirements

Education

• Technician certification in a relevant field is preferred.

Experience

• Familiarity with steam metering systems is a plus.

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of steam systems

• Problem-solving abilities

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
