Job Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our Cape Town-based team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, maintaining accurate patient records, and providing exceptional customer service. Ideal candidates will have strong attention to detail and a passion for promoting health and wellness in the community.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications and counsel patients on proper usage.
  • Manage medication refills and coordinate with healthcare providers.
  • Implement pharmacy protocols to enhance patient safety.
  • Assist in compounding medications as required.
  • Contribute to pharmacy promotions and educational initiatives.
  • Document medication errors and report them to management.

Requirements

Education
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Pharmacy
  • Experience in a retail pharmacy is advantageous

  • 3+ years of experience in pharmacy operations
