Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Childcare Worker to join our team in Kimberley. The ideal candidate will create a safe and engaging environment for the children, support their development, and actively participate in daily activities.

Responsibilities

• Create a nurturing environment that encourages children to learn and grow.
• Facilitate play-based learning activities to stimulate children’s growth.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
• Support children in developing social skills through interaction.
• Provide emotional support and guidance to children.
• Coordinate with parents to discuss their child’s needs and progress.
• Organize group activities that promote teamwork and cooperation.
• Assist in the development of individual learning plans.

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Early Childhood Development or related field
• Degree in Education is an advantage

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in childcare settings

Technical Skills

• Behavior Management Techniques
• Activity Planning

Soft Skills

• Empathy
• Organizational Skills

Certifications

• Child Development Associate (CDA)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in a Montessori environment: Familiarity with Montessori teaching methods and philosophy.
• CPR and First Aid certification: Certification is highly regarded.
