Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and codes. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and other engineers to deliver high-quality structural solutions.

Responsibilities

• Advise project stakeholders on technical specifications and requirements.
• Design structural modifications for existing buildings.
• Coordinate with environmental consultants to ensure sustainable designs.
• Develop project timelines and resource necessities.
• Ensure all designs meet safety and quality standards.
• Provide expert input during project feasibility studies.
• Prepare cost estimates and budget analyses.
• Participate in industry conferences to stay updated on best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Structural Engineering
• Familiarity with project management methodologies preferred

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, including project leadership roles

• Finite Element Analysis

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous
