Job Description

We are seeking a talented Timpanist to join our orchestra in Johannesburg. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing on timpani drums during concerts and rehearsals, collaborating closely with our conductors and musicians to create a cohesive sound.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the music director in interpreting parts for various compositions.
• Perform regularly scheduled concerts and events with professionalism.
• Stay updated on percussion techniques and developments in orchestral music.
• Network with other musicians to foster relationships within the industry.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Music

Experience

• Experience performing in orchestras or ensembles.

Languages

• English: Fluent
