Job Description

Join us as a Facilities Manager in Durban, where you will take charge of our facility's operations in the General Engineering field. You will work closely with the engineering teams to ensure that all facilities are optimally maintained, compliant with regulations, and capable of supporting our engineering projects effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the facilities department.
  • Ensure timely maintenance and repairs for all facilities.
  • Create and implement facility policies and procedures.
  • Monitor facility conditions and ensure they meet safety standards.
  • Evaluate and select contractors for various facility projects.
  • Manage energy efficiency initiatives within the facilities.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to facility operations.
  • Facilitate communication between management and facility staff.
  • Establish an emergency response plan for facility incidents.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and equipment for facilities.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Facilities Management or equivalent field
  • Professional certifications in Project Management are preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in facilities or operations management
