Job Description

We are on the lookout for an Actuary to contribute to our actuarial team in Johannesburg. In this role, you will provide quantitative insights that drive our insurance product strategies. You will be expected to conduct detailed financial forecasting and risk assessments. A collaborative spirit is crucial as you will be working with cross-functional teams to optimize our processes and enhance profitability.

Responsibilities

• Leverage statistical software tools for data analysis.
• Analyze claims data to forecast future trends.
• Support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
• Contribute to the development of actuarial strategies.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and actuarial methodologies.
• Provide expert advice to management on financial and regulatory issues.
• Oversee the collection and analysis of relevant data for risk evaluation.

Requirements

Education

• Master's degree in Actuarial Science or Statistics
• Fellowship in a recognized actuarial society is highly valued

Experience

• 7+ years of actuarial experience in the insurance industry
