We are looking for a talented Chemical Engineer to play a key role in our Johannesburg facility. This position requires expertise in process design and optimization, with a focus on sustainability and efficiency. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and implement innovative solutions to enhance our operations.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop innovative chemical processes.
• Perform process calculations and simulations.
• Conduct process audits to identify areas for improvement.
• Work with production teams to resolve production issues.
• Evaluate equipment and processes for operational effectiveness.
• Provide technical support to the operations team.
• Ensure adherence to quality control standards.
• Participate in health and safety assessments and audits.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
• Master's degree is advantageous

Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in chemical engineering

Technical Skills

• Process Engineering
• Statistical Process Control (SPC)
• Chemical Safety Standards

Soft Skills

Certifications

• Registered Professional Engineer (Pr. Eng.)

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles: Familiarity with Lean principles to improve process efficiency.
