Environmental Scientist

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate Environmental Scientist to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will focus on assessing environmental impacts, developing sustainable solutions, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Responsibilities

• Lead field investigations and sampling efforts to collect environmental data.
• Ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations at all levels.
• Work collaboratively with engineers and scientists to design sustainable solutions.
• Conduct training sessions for staff on environmental best practices.
• Assist in the preparation of grant proposals for environmental projects.
• Stay current on environmental issues and emerging technologies.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Master's degree in Environmental Policy is a plus

Experience

• 5 years of experience in environmental assessments or consultancy

• Environmental Impact Assessment

Certifications

• Certified Environmental Professional (CEP)
• Project Management Professional (PMP)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Conversational
