Job Description

As an Architect at Design Firm South Africa, you will be at the forefront of creating inspiring architectural designs. You will collaborate with a talented team to conceptualize, design, and execute architectural projects that enhance the urban landscape of Cape Town. Your role will involve engaging with clients, preparing designs and drawings, and ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

  • Lead design presentations and workshops for potential clients.
  • Innovate design processes to improve efficiency and creativity.
  • Manage public relations for projects, addressing community concerns and feedback.
  • Research new materials and methods to enhance building performance.
  • Train and mentor junior architects and interns on best practices.
  • Prepare proposals and bids for new projects.
  • Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Foster relationships with city officials to facilitate project approvals.

Requirements

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • Master's degree in Urban Planning is preferred
Experience
  • 5+ years of experience in large-scale architectural projects
Technical Skills
  • AutoCAD
