Job Description

We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Veterinarian to join our dynamic team at Animal Health Clinic in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional care to our animal patients, perform medical examinations, diagnose illnesses, and prescribe treatments while also liaising with pet owners to educate them about their pet's health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct health assessments and post-operative care for patients.
  • Manage emergency and critical care cases as required.
  • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual animals.
  • Offer advice to pet owners on preventative care and wellness.
  • Assist with managing clinic staff and training new team members.
  • Stay updated with the latest veterinary practices and technologies.
  • Engage with the local community to promote animal health awareness.

Requirements

Education
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM)
  • Postgraduate qualification in a specialization is an advantage.
Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in diverse veterinary environments.
