Pharmacist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacist to join our team in Alexander Bay. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing pharmaceutical care, including medication management and patient consultations. This role is vital for improving health outcomes in our community and ensuring patients receive the best care possible.

Responsibilities

• Process medication orders in a timely manner.
• Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Lead pharmacy initiatives to improve service quality.
• Develop patient education materials and resources.
• Assist with training and mentoring pharmacy interns.
• Participate in continuous professional development.
• Provide after-hours support when necessary.
• Engage in community outreach programs to promote health awareness.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or related field
• Masters in Pharmaceutical Sciences is preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of experience in a clinical pharmacy setting

• Clinical Pharmacy

Certifications

• Registered with the South African Pharmacy Council
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Languages

• English: Fluent
• Xhosa: Basic

Advantageous

• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans: Ability to communicate fluently in both English and Afrikaans.
• Prior experience with chronic disease management: Experience in managing patients with chronic diseases to improve health outcomes.
