We are seeking a motivated Environmental Engineer to join our team in Port Elizabeth. The successful candidate will work on projects focused on sustainable development, environmental impact assessments, and innovative engineering solutions. The role requires strong analytical skills and an ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Perform impact assessments including project planning and mitigation strategies.
• Develop innovative engineering solutions to reduce environmental impact.
• Collate and analyze relevant environmental data and research.
• Act as a liaison between stakeholders including clients and regulatory bodies.
• Evaluate existing environmental policies and conduct reviews.
• Support project managers in maintaining schedules and budgets.
• Provide training and support to teams on environmental standards.
• Participate in community engagement initiatives to promote sustainable practices.
• Prepare technical reports related to environmental studies.
• Facilitate workshops and presentations for project stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline is advantageous

Experience

• 3-5 years relevant experience in environmental engineering
