We are seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Durban. As a crucial member of our pharmacy department, you will assist pharmacists in providing top-notch service to patients. Your responsibilities will include managing medication inventories, preparing prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service. Ideal candidates should have a keen attention to detail and a passion for healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and compound medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
  • Assist in managing medication inventory and supplies.
  • Actively engage with patients to understand their needs.
  • Ensure adherence to pharmacy protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in pharmacy audits and compliance checks.
  • Help resolve issues related to insurance and billing processes.
  • Facilitate a positive and supportive environment for patients.
  • Promote health initiatives as part of patient care.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Pharmacy Technology or related field
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in South Africa is preferred
Experience
  • 3+ years of experience in community pharmacy
