Actuarial Analyst

Job Description

We are seeking an Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Bloemfontein. In this role, you will analyze risk and financial data to assist in insurance and investment decisions. You will work closely with other analysts to develop models that inform strategic business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze large datasets to identify trends and anomalies.
• Build and maintain actuarial models using appropriate software.
• Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to support strategic initiatives.
• Report on financial forecasts and risk assessments.
• Assist in the preparation of annual reports and actuarial valuations.
• Identify opportunities for process enhancements.
• Participate in professional development and educational opportunities.
• Support audit processes by ensuring documentation is complete.
• Communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, or related quantitative field
• Master's degree preferred

Experience

• 3+ years of actuarial experience preferred.
