DevOps Engineer

Job Description

We are on the hunt for a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our Gqeberha team. In this role, you'll be responsible for automating our deployment processes, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring the reliability and performance of our systems. The ideal candidate will have experience with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and various cloud services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee automated integration and delivery tactics for our development teams.
• Utilize monitoring tools to predict and mitigate system failures.
• Work closely with other departments to facilitate deployment and problem resolution.
• Build relationships with vendors to push system optimization.
• Implement and manage version control procedures.
• Communicate clear instances of system performance and uptime to stakeholders.
• Participate in on-call rotation for system support.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong DevOps background.

Technical Skills

• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Soft Skills

• Adaptability

Certifications

• Docker Certified Associate

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience with Azure Cloud Services: Experience in deploying and managing applications on Azure.
