Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our skilled team in Pietermaritzburg. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for animal care, strong clinical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will play a critical role in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our patients.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare animals for surgery by assisting in pre-operative prep.
  • Provide support during examinations by taking vital signs.
  • Educate pet owners about medication regimens and treatment plans.
  • Work as part of a team to provide high-quality veterinary services.
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide support during recovery.
  • Keep the clinic and facilities clean and well-maintained.

Requirements

Education
  • Diploma in Animal Care or Veterinary Technology
  • Advanced training or certification is preferred
Experience
  • 2-3 years experience in a veterinary clinic
