Job Description

We are on the lookout for a creative Fashion Designer to join our Cape Town team. In this role, you will conceptualise and create clothing designs that reflect current trends and the unique style of our brand. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that your designs come to life through high-quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Develop innovative designs that align with brand vision
• Work closely with the marketing team to strategise product launches
• Conduct market research to keep designs competitive
• Create detailed design packages with fabric swatches
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers
• Assist in developing promotional materials
• Create a collection that features cohesive themes
• Mentor junior designers and interns
• Ensure sustainability practices in sourcing materials

Requirements

Education

• Diploma in Fashion Design or equivalent

Experience

• 2+ years of experience in fashion design

Technical Skills

• Fashion Illustration
• Sewing and Construction

Soft Skills

• Problem Solving
• Networking

Certifications

• Fashion Merchandising Certification

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Familiarity with Fashion Technology: Experience with fashion technology tools such as 3D design software.
