Security Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Security Engineer to enhance our cybersecurity posture. The successful candidate will assess current systems, detect potential risks, and design effective solutions to mitigate threats, ensuring operational security across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop robust security protocols and standards.
• Review and update security policies to ensure compliance.
• Work alongside IT staff to investigate security breaches and issues.
• Conduct employee training on security awareness and best practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies.
• Participate in incident response planning and tabletop exercises.
• Ensure data encryption and network firewalls are correctly configured.
• Assess third-party vendor security practices.
• Report weekly on security status and risk management updates.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or relevant field
• Relevant certifications (CISSP, CEH) are an advantage

Experience

• 3-5 years of practical experience in cybersecurity roles
