Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Health and Safety Officer in Cape Town. You will be responsible for developing and implementing safety policies, conducting audits, and providing training to staff on safety compliance and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to foster a safety-first culture in the workplace.
• Conduct safety audits and inspections with a focus on compliance.
• Provide expert advice on health and safety legislation and standards.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness drills and training.
• Document health and safety performance and prepare reports for management.
• Investigate and document accidents, ensuring compliance with reporting protocols.
• Engage employees in safety programs and initiatives.
• Stay informed about emerging health and safety trends and technologies.
• Support the continuous improvement of workplace safety protocols.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field
• Advanced certifications in Occupational Health and Safety are advantageous

Experience

• 5+ years of experience in health and safety management
