Job Description

As a Financial Analyst at our Cape Town hub, you will analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights. Your role is crucial in facilitating effective budgeting and financial planning within our organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and report findings to the finance manager.
• Collaborate with external auditors during the audit process.
• Establish financial KPIs to track performance and profitability.
• Educate and guide junior analysts on financial procedures and methodologies.
• Conduct market research to ensure competitive analysis and positioning.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or equivalent discipline

Experience

• 3+ years in financial analytics and reporting

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel Skills
• SQL

Soft Skills

• Attention to Detail
• Team Collaboration

Certifications

• CFA or equivalent is preferable

Languages

• English: Fluent

Advantageous

• Experience in consulting or advisory roles: Previous consulting experience in finance or strategy roles would be advantageous.
• Knowledge of IFRS standards: Understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards.
