Job Description

As a Site Reliability Engineer in Cape Town, you will be pivotal in ensuring our platforms are reliable and scalable. We are looking for individuals who can streamline processes and improve system performance through automation. If you have a passion for DevOps and a keen eye for detail, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high availability and reliability of services on the cloud.
• Automate operational tasks leveraging scripting and configuration management tools.
• Analyze system metrics and logs to identify trends and anomalies.
• Work in an Agile environment, participating in sprint planning and reviews.
• Enhance system resilience through architecture improvements.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues in production.
• Implement security best practices in the system design and operation.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization on existing systems.
• Collaborate on designing disaster recovery and high availability strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and share best practices.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Master's degree is a plus

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering or related field
